Registration Period: September 24–October 8, 2025
Navigating the world of special education can feel overwhelming—especially for families who are concerned about their child’s development or who have recently received a diagnosis. This workshop will provide information, resources, and practical strategies to help you support your child’s educational journey.
The MNO Early Learning team invites you to join Introduction to Special Education in Ontario, a session designed to help families better understand the system and feel more confident in supporting their child’s learning.
Together, we will discuss the following topics:
- Understanding special education in Ontario
- Navigating the assessment process
- Creating an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Building partnerships with educators and professionals
- Accessing community resources
To take part in the Family Workshops, families must:
- Have at least one child or grandchild between 0 and 12 years old.
- Have a parent, guardian, or grandparent who is an MNO citizen.
- Be able to connect to Zoom using the internet and a device.
We look forward to seeing you there!
