Join us in North Bay for a special celebration of culture, community, and storytelling! On Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the North Bay Public Library will host the soft launch of a brand-new children’s book.
The event will feature a special read-along of A Real Life Métis Superhero, a story that honours local Senator Marlene Greenwood. Senator Greenwood is a respected knowledge holder whose life and work have inspired many. Her story highlights Métis traditions, values, and experiences, giving young readers a meaningful and engaging introduction to Métis culture.
Families and community members of all ages are encouraged to attend. It’s a chance to learn, reflect, and celebrate the enduring strength of the Métis spirit.
