The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is excited to host the Ivèr: Winter Youth Way of Life Workshop Series this February and March across the province virtually via Zoom.
Youth participants will explore Métis culture and way-of-life in three different workshops which will allow participants to try different traditional skills. Participants can choose the workshops they would like to attend, whether it be one, some, or all the sessions. Supplies for the workshops will be sent by mail.
While the pandemic has moved our cultural camps online, Ivèr will immerse Métis youth in their culture and let them learn traditional skills in their own communities. Youth will gain a deeper understanding of their Métis history and culture through interactions with Métis knowledge-holders, PCMNO Senators, MNO staff and facilitators.
Access to technology and reliable internet is required to participate in the camp.
