Guest speaker: Lysandra Moreno
Lysandra Moreno is a citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario and a criminal duty counsel with Legal Aid Ontario in Toronto. She previously worked as an associate lawyer at a prominent criminal defense firm in Toronto. She completed her Master of Arts in Criminology at the University of Toronto with a research focus on the over-representation of Indigenous peoples in the criminal justice system and the use of Gladue reports at sentencing. Ms. Moreno completed her law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2021 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2022.
