The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is looking for 12 youth (19-30 years of age) and 13 Senators to participate in a community art project entitled Listening to Our Ancestors: Métis Cultural Expressions.
This project will take place on Saturday, July 14th in Kenora, ON. Youth will be teamed with Senators to work together to decorate one of six paddles that represent the importance of our Métis community. Successful applicants will have their travel, accommodation and meals provided. Paddles will be featured during the 2012 MNO Annual General Assembly (AGA) in Sault Ste. Marie, ON in August.
If you are interested in participating, fill out the application and return it to bennym@metisnation.org or by fax 613-722-4225 before June 22, 2012. Applicants will be reviewed and considered based on community involvement, equitable geographic distribution as well as funding availability and restrictions.
