MNO Captain of the Hunt Recieves AwardMNO Captain of the Hunt Ken Simard with the Bob Secord Award of Excellence

On October 16, Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) Region 2 Captain of the Hunt Ken Simard was recognized for 15 years of volunteer service to the Ontario Senior Games Association (OSGA).

According to the Thunder Bay Chronicle Journal: “In the world of senior sports, Thunder Bay’s Ken Simard has distinguished himself as a driving force for the cause.” Among Ken’s contributions to the OSGA was terms as President of the Northwest Senior Summer Games, Coordinator and Representative for District One for Northwestern Ontario on the Senior Games Board as well as years as local volunteer at the Thunder Bay 55+ Centre and at Fort William Historical Park.

In recognition for his service, the OSGA presented Ken with the Bob Secord Award of Excellence. The Award is presented to only one male and one female Coordinator among the 41 districts in Ontario. The Award was presented to Ken in Huntsville and recognizes his tireless volunteer efforts.
