Inspiring Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) citizen-athletes brought their A-game to Halifax, Nova Scotia to participate in the 10th North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) between July 15-23, 2023.

NAIG2023 brought together over 5,000 Indigenous athletes from across 756 communities across Canada. Indigenous athletes participated in over 16 competitive sports, ranging from athletics to wrestling, and many others. Also featured were “traditional sports” like 3D archery, canoeing/kayaking and box lacrosse, which began with special ceremonies.

This year, MNO citizens participated in both individual and team sports, including swimming, soccer, basketball, wrestling and track and field. Congratulations to the following citizens for their incredible accomplishments at this year’s NAIG:
