MNO hosts Virtual Climate Change Forum on Métis Harvesting
The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is inviting all citizens to participate in a virtual forum on climate change and its impact on Métis harvesting practices on October 19, 2024 at 1PM (EST).
This interactive session will focus on climate change issues affecting the environment, including wildlife, plant life, and waterways, all crucial to Métis hunting, fishing, and foraging practices. The forum offers a chance for knowledge-sharing and collaboration, encouraging MNO citizens to discuss challenges and solutions related to climate adaptation and sustainable harvesting. There will be guest speakers, presentations, discussions, and fantastic prizes to be won!
All MNO citizens are encouraged to attend and share their insights to help preserve Métis traditions as we confront the challenges of climate change! Your voice matters!
