MNO to Host Province-Wide Sharing Circles to Address Suicide Prevention Through Cultural Lens
The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is holding in-person sharing circles across the province to gather its citizens’ cultural perspectives on suicide and explore effective ways to support those contemplating ending their life. Share your voice and help shape a culturally informed approach to supporting Métis community members.
Please note, these circles are not intended for individuals to share personal or family mental health experiences but to invite conversations exploring Métis perspectives on how to support community members who are struggling.
We invite all MNO Citizens who are 18 years of age or older to consider participating. If you’re interested, please follow the link below to find more information about the study and how to register.
A $200 honorarium and lunch will be provided to all participants who attend the circles as a form of gratitude and appreciation for their participation. These engagement sessions are expected to take up to 5 hours, inclusive of lunch and short, hourly breaks.
