Métis begin gathering for the Rendezvous in Owen Sound
Over 200 people of Métis ancestry participated in an exciting Métis Rendezvous in Owen Sound on Saturday, July 23. Events took place at the Grey Roots Museum and Archives in Owen Sound as well as in Discovery Harbour in Penetanguishine. This event was organized by the Great Lakes and Georgian Bay Councils with the assistance of the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) Healing and Wellness staff in Midland and Owen Sound. The Rendezvous featured numerous activities throughout the day ranging from fiddling to traditional weaving.
