Historica Canada’s Aboriginal Arts and Stories contest

Are you an Indigenous youth between the ages of 9 and 29? Take part in the largest and most recognized art and creative writing competition in Canada for Aboriginal youth!

Create a writing or art piece that explores Aboriginal heritage or culture and be entered to win Historica Canada’s 2016-2017 Aboriginal Arts & Stories contest! This contest is open to Indigenous youth (First Nations, Inuit and Métis). Entries can include a short piece of creative writing or a two-dimensional piece of artwork exploring their identity or a moment or theme in Indigenous history or culture. Entries must include a 200-400 word statement about the author or artist and an explanation on how the piece explores Aboriginal heritage and culture.

Winners receive cash prizes of up to $2,000, and groups of six or more are eligible for an additional prize!
