In light of current global events, Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) industry partner TC Energy has extended their scholarship application deadline to June 12, 2020. Students can apply online at www.tcscholarships.com until June 12, 2020. The TC Energy Program offers scholarships to students in three categories which includes 77 scholarships specifically for Indigenous students.
These include:
- The TC Energy Indigenous Legacy Scholarship. This $5,000 scholarship is awarded to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students pursuing any full time post-secondary program at a registered education institute. With priority being given to students who are affiliated with Nations and organizations that TC Energy works with.
- The TC Energy Community Leaders Scholarship. This $2,500 scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate a strong commitment to their community through volunteerism, leadership, and other activities.
- The TC Energy Trades Scholarship. This $2,500 scholarship is awarded to students who are studying a skilled trade relevant to the energy sector.
