Métis Vacci-Nation: COVID-19 vaccine uptake in MNO citizens

The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is excited to announce we have reached another milestone with COVID-19 vaccine uptake in MNO citizens. As of July 11, 2021, 76% of MNO citizens have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine! And 59% are fully vaccinated with two doses!

So far 86% of our elders (70 years and older) have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. And in the past nine weeks since our youth (12-15 years) have become eligible, 70% have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

MNO citizens are helping to make sure grandparents can hug their grandchildren, and that next time we gather we can once again share a meal and celebrate Métis culture.

You can help stop the pandemic by getting a COVID-19 vaccine. To learn how to book your vaccination, please see: covid-19.ontario.ca/book-vaccine/. For a list of Indigenous vaccination clinics running in Ontario, please see: Covid-19 Vaccine Clinics across Ontario.

Vaccination is a personal choice. If you haven’t made your decision, check out the information available to inform your choice here:
