It is our mission as K-12 Education and Partnership advisors to provide the following:
- To support the success of Métis learners and ensure Métis content is taught within schools (classrooms and beyond).
- Relationship building between District School Boards, Community Councils and the MNO
- To create connection through:
- Professional Development Sessions;
- Relationship Building Meetings;
- Indigenous Education Committee support;
- Resource sharing and support;
- Collaboration with K-12 team (Métis Language Initiatives and Curriculum Resource Advisors).
- To create generational understanding, inclusion and equity – fostering proud Métis people, families and communities, strengthening culture and Way of Life that informs growth.

Community Councillors, if you’re interested in fostering more substantial connections with local school boards, we invite you to schedule a partnership meeting with your District School Board’s Indigenous Lead and our K-12 Education and Partnership Advisor.
