The Métis Nation of Ontario in partnership with the Home Hospice Association is hosting monthly Death Cafés—a safe space for a group-led discussion about death.
Death Cafés: MNO and Home Hospice Association Partner to Host Monthly Conversations about Death
These Métis-specific Death Cafés will provide supportive spaces where individuals are encouraged to talk about death and everything that comes with it. The goal of these spaces is to normalize conversations about this universal, yet not often talked about, experience.
The Métis Nation of Ontario prioritizes and promotes the improved health and wellness of all Métis citizens and families, and through this initiative we hope to create a culturally sensitive space where our citizens feel comfortable to discuss navigating these difficult–but inevitable–life occurrences.

Death Cafés will be hosted on a monthly basis to invite conversation and explore feelings about dying and death, as well as living and life in order to to create a sense of community and engage with our own mortality in ways that help us heal our feelings of fear and anxiety around death.
